Jacob Tremblay stole the show at the Critics' Choice Awards Sunday.
The 9-year-old Canadian actor delivered an adorable speech after
winning "Best Young Actor/Actress" for his role in the drama "Room."
"This is super cool," Tremblay said while standing on a box to reach the microphone.
"This is the best day of my life. I first want to say thank you to all
the critics who voted for me. It must be a super hard vote because of
all the other great actors in this category," he said to a loud
applause.
Tremblay continued to thank the movie’s producers, cast and crew.
"I think that us working together made this movie come true. And this
award doesn't just go to me for that, it goes to all of you guys as
well," he said.
After thanking his parents, Tremblay closed his speech by letting the audience know where he planned to keep his trophy.
"And I know where to put this … right on the shelf right beside my Millennium Falcon."
Tremblay was up against Abraham Attah of "Beasts of No Nation," RJ
Cyler of "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl," Shameik Moore of "Dope" and
Milo Parker of "Mr. Holmes."
He also starred in "Gord's Brother" in 2015 and "The Smurfs 2" in 2013.
