Chloë Grace Moretz is so busy that she has no time for romance — and that suits her just fine.

The 18-year-old movie star graces the cover of the February issue of Marie Claire, and shared why she has chosen to prioritize her career over dating for the next few years.
“Dating really just consists of understanding, and it’s really hard to understand this world,” she told the mag.
Even though she has been romantically linked to Brooklyn Beckham, Moretz stated that her jet-setting lifestyle doesn't leave her much time for a boyfriend.
“I’m gone nine months out of the year. I’m kissing guys for a role on
set,” explained the actress, who has four films coming out this year
including “The 5th Wave,” which hits theaters Jan. 22.
“I don’t want to date older people, because I’m 18 and older people are
more serious,” Moretz added. “Then I kind of realized, I’ll go on
dates, why not?
“And that’s kind of how I am right now. I’m not looking for a while. At least till I’m like 23.”
Moretz started her acting career at age 6, and has appeared in a
whopping 30 movies to date. The star was only 12 years old when she
filmed her breakout role in 2010’s “Kick-Ass,” in which she played a
preteen superhero.
“I was pure muscle at that age,” she recalled. “I was able to do like 200 pull-ups. It was nuts.”
Moretz’s next major role likely won’t require such intense training:
She is starring in the live-action version of “The Little Mermaid,”
which is set to begin filming in March.
With her stardom on the rise, one thing Moretz has had to adjust to the scrutiny that comes with being a teen movie star.
She revealed that while filming the horror remake “Carrie,” she was
obsessed with reading criticisms on social media, which fed her
insecurities.
“I felt fat. I felt not pretty,” she said. “I felt like I didn’t really
know who I was ... And my arms were big, and that was like my biggest
issue.”
Moretz eventually figured out how to not take the criticisms to heart, largely by separating “work Chloë” from “home Chloë.”
“I don’t know how this happened, but when I turned 17, this huge weight
was lifted off my shoulders,” said the star, who turns 19 next month.
“I don’t worry about what people say about me,” she added. “I know who I am (and) who I want to be.”
