Nigerian ex-internationals living abroad have joined the floodgate of
condemnation against Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh for his outburst against
Nigerians on YouTube.
They, however, blamed the President
of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick who practically handed him the job
on a platter of gold.
Speaking from his base in Holland
where he claimed to he was speaking on-behalf of his former colleagues who are
scattered all over Europe and America, Chike Arisa condemned Oliseh for pouring
venom on Nigerians because they were criticising him.
“We’re disappointed that a man who has benefited more from Nigeria will turn
around to insult them. He knows that criticism is part of the game.
And successful coaches had lived
with criticisms to achieve results. We’re more disappointed because he did not
merit the job and should have shown humility instead of exposing himself,”
Arisa said on our hotline.
He however blamed Pinnick “for the
rubbish” because he gave “a top job to a greenhorn who has not coached a club
not to talk of handling the revered former African champions, the Super Eagles
of Nigeria”.
