Actress Vanessa Hudgens wishes there were a way she could visit her father in heaven.
The "Springbreakers" star shared a heartfelt message to her late dad, Greg Hudgens on Instagram — one week after he passed away following a battle with stage four cancer.
"I wish heaven had visiting hours," the touching post read, along with her caption: "If only."
Hudgens announced last weekend that she had lost her father just a day
before she was slated to take the stage for Fox's highly anticipated
live production of "Grease."
The 27-year old actress went on to give a dazzling performance as Rizzo
in the show in her father's honor, particularly moving the audience
with her emotional rendering of "There Are Worse Things I Could Do."
A source told Us Weekly
that it was "incredibly hard" for her to perform in the critically
acclaimed musical event last Sunday given the circumstances, but she
didn't want to miss a chance to represent her father in front of a
national audience.
"She's a true entertainer," the insider said. "So it was on with the show."
Hudgens announced last August that her father was suffering from the
disease during a moving speech at the Industry Dance Awards, where she
passionately proclaimed "I hate cancer with every cell of my being."
Before her latest post, the actress hadn't publicly spoken about her
father's passing since making her original announcement just seven hours
before "Grease: Live" last Sunday.
