Kylie Jenner is going toe-to-toe against Kanye West.
The 18-year-old reality star has signed on as an ambassador with Puma —
the direct competitor to Adidas, which has backed West’s Yeezy fashion collection.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan has been uncharacteristically quiet on the
subject, and Puma has yet to respond to requests for comment.
The sneakers website Nice Kicks confirmed the deal on Monday following up on an Us Weekly
report last week that Jenner was given $1 million for the
collaboration. West had reacted to that unconfirmed report with fury,
tweeting that his little half-sister-in-law would never betray the “Run
this Town” singer like that.
“1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything,” he posted on Feb. 9
during one of his many recent rants. “That’s on my family! 1000% Kylie
is on Yeezy team!!!”

He also added, “Puma we gone give you your measly million dollars back!!! Never try to divide the family!!!”
Looks like ’Ye was left out of the loop.

Nice Kicks reports that Jenner has already modeled Pumas in
photoshoots. It also outlines her role as a “brand advocate” supporting
specific Puma products through campaigns and her social media outlets —
so look for plenty of #puma pix in her Instagram feed.
She’s already been seen sporting the athleisure apparel when she works
out, and she also flaunted a pair of Puma tennis shoes while in
Calabasas last October.
This is surely a kick in the pants for West, who cast Jenner to walk in
his original Yeezy Season 1 show at New York Fashion Week just last
year. But last week Jenner just sat in the audience for Yeezy Season 3,
where she wore West’s line along with Balmain threads.
Yet West was supportive of Rihanna’s Fenty collection with Puma, which made its New York Fashion Week debut on Saturday.
“Wow the paradigm has shifted, She killed it… everything is changed
now!!!!” he tweeted with a snap Rihanna at the Fenty x Puma Fall 2016
runway. “Lil Sis kiiiiiiiilled this s***!!!!!!!”
Here’s hoping he’s just as supportive of his other little sister. Maybe
his wife can talk some sense into him, as a source tells People that Kim Kardashian “can’t stand” her husband’s social media rants.
“What causes friction in the marriage, however, is Kanye’s compulsive
tweeting,” a snitch tells People magazine. “She is all for
self-promotion, but doesn’t approve of Twitter drama.”
