The massive bling from Derek Jeter was just a sparkle on a grand slam year for stunner Hannah Davis.
From island beauty to world recognized model, the 25-year-old landed
her own show and graced several magazine covers — all as she nabbed
longtime bachelor Derek Jeter’s hand in marriage.
In a recent interview with Maxim magazine,
the future Mrs. Jeter dished on her rising career and proved just why
she is the one who will walk down the aisle with the famous Yankee.
"I'm not a worrier," Davis explained. "There's no point. My philosophy is to let everyone else worry."
Sizzling in a ripped gold dress, which matches her sun-kissed skin, the
swimsuit model posed among tropical wildness in an issue that hits
stand March 1.
Her laid-back, worry-free and up-for-anything attitude impressively
spills across the pages just as much her head-turning cover sticks out.
In fact, the only concern the Sports Illustrated model seems to have is about her relationship’s privacy.
“I feel like I have to share every other part of my life. It's that one
part that's a little bit of a mystery to people, but that's the way we
want it. The only way to protect it is not to talk about it,” she
divulged.
“Trying to impress you with material things? I think that's lame. I
wanted someone whose family is a big, important part of their life,” she
explained.
The couple was first linked together in 2011 and ended their on-off status when Jeter popped the question last October.
A month after the proposal, she became the host of “Project Runway: Junior.”
“I told them, 'I'm shy. It takes me a while to get my groove and feel
comfortable in front of people. I don't know if I'm the girl for the job?’" she recalled.
Despite the lack of small screen experience, show creators were sold on her natural charisma.
So was the big screen, with the St. Thomas native making her acting debut with a bit part in the comedy “Vacation.”
The love for Davis may have skyrocketed this year, but her career
didn’t have quite the meteoric rise her future husband had in his day.
The former budding tennis player revealed she almost quit her turn at modeling after years of “harsh criticism.”
Two years later, Sports Illustrated called for Davis to pose on the
controversial, sultry cover and the rest was history for a star in the
making.
