JoJo Fletcher named next 'Bachelorette,' squashing rumors Caila Quinn was front-runner for title

Ben Higgins made his choice after telling the two ladies he was in love with. She didn’t win the “Bachelor” but Joelle (JoJo) Fletcher seems to have won America’s heart.

Rejection turned fortunate for the season’s runner-up, who was surprisingly announced the next Bachelorette on the Monday’s “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose."
"She is a woman who the entire country fell in love with and I know that you're all hoping that she is able to fall in love again," host Chris Harrison said when making the announcement.
“I’m so excited,” the 24-year-old real estate developer said. “This is crazy.”

The turn from rejectee to soon-to-be reality starlet was unexpected as Caila Quinn
who was voted off before Fletcher was rumored to be the front-runner to land the coveted title.
The infamous Bachelor nation of fans reacted harshly to the possibility of Quinn doling out roses. Quinn was reportedly spotted filming her introductory package two weeks ago.

TABLOIDS OUT; NO BOOK PUBLISHING WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL. NO ARCHIVE. NO RESALE.
However, it seems the decision was between the two runner-ups and a source told Entertainment Tonight Fletcher was chosen to continue her reality fame at the "last minute."
Meet the next Bachelorette. If chosen, Quinn would have been the first multiracial Bachelorette, bringing a long-promised diversity to the reality show. "Bachelor" star Ben Higgins sent her home after a romantic trip to Jamaica.

Fletcher, meanwhile, won sympathy from fans when Higgins told her and eventual winner, Lauren Bushnell, that he loved them both on the same night.

On Monday's finale, Higgins left Fletcher heartbroken when he told her he found love with her but "found it with someone else more."
Despite the finale choice and shocking switch in who will lead the next season, most of social media seemed to focus more on mocking Higgin’s bling choice.

“That was the most hideous ring in all of #Bachelor history,” one fan wrote.
Still, the ring is all Bushnell got Monday night as Higgins turned down the chance to get married during the live after-show,which would have made it the first in the history of the show.

Later in the night, Bushnell and Higgins showed off their love on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
The two dished on getting use to life post- "Bachelor" and proved they're still going strong, doing well on a newlyweds-type game testing their knowledge on each other.

Earlier, Kimmel crashed the live "After the Rose" show to ask the new couple some questions.
"What exactly is the fantasy suite?" the host asked, posing the question many viewers want to know.
"If you could show me on the dolls where you touched each other," he continued, using two Barbies and causing an uproar with the crowd.
