Fashion Model Charlize Theron's covers April 2016 issue of WSJ. Magazine.

Actress, producer and fashion model, there's nothing Charlize Theron can't do. Take a look back at her life and career as the timeless beauty went from an aspiring South African model to one of Hollywood's biggest stars ...

Charlize Theron smolders in a sultry black and white photo shoot for the April 2016 issue of WSJ. Magazine. In the issue that hits newsstands on April 2, 2016, Theron talks about her career, relationship with Sean Penn and raising two children with a busy career. Currently working and living in Budapest while filming her latest film "The Coldest City," Theron spends nearly every day filming and her few days off she works on perfecting her Russian accent for the film.

Known for her roles in films like "Monster," "Dark Places" and most recently, "Mad Max: Fury Road," Theron said that she often turned down roles of playing the "babe" wary of being pigeonholed and carrying that reputation. "I wasn't just thinking about the longevity of my career, it was that I wanted to explore different things," she mentioned in the interview. "I became aware I could build a career that would be more satisfying to me by saying no." "I was auditioning for a lot of stuff where they thought I was too pretty," she also shared, still irked about an audition for "Devil's Advocate" that she was denied for her stunning looks.

Growing up in South Africa gave Theron a humble upbringing as she admitted to never dreaming of becoming an actress when she was young. "I didn't even know what that dream was," she shared with the magazine. "We saw American movies but we didn't know who anybody was. I didn't know there was this whole celebrity fantasy world." In fact, Theron started modeling at the age of 16 before coming to New York to attend a ballet school in hopes of becoming a dancer. After a knee injury and falling into a deep depression, Theron moved to Los Angeles where she would finally realize her potential in film.
