Shane McMahon will be laid to rest by The
Undertaker in front of WWE’s biggest ever live crowd,
according to the bookies.
Both Paddy Power and Sky Bet are backing the Dead Man - at
4/9 and 4/11 respectively - to seal another Wrestlemania win, snuffing out son Shane’s
challenge for control of flagship show RAW on behalf of WWE supremo Vince McMahon.
Priced at 13/8 and 2/1 to pull out the Hell in a Cell win at
the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, it appears heir apparent Shane’s comeback may be short-lived
- but such an attraction-heavy match with a stipulation concerning
control of WWE seemingly trumping the WWE World Heavyweight title prize, this
bout has yet to be confirmed as main event and closing match of the show.
Two weeks ahead of WWE’s annual extravaganza, Roman Reigns is the clear favourite (1/6) with both Sky Bet and Paddy Power to dethrone 14-time champion Triple H. At 7/2, the veteran star and company exec may be worth a punt if the headlining match result comes in for a late change, as happened last year with Seth Rollins cashing in during Reigns’ battle with Brock Lesnar.
Paul Heyman has the bookies’ confidence in
predicting victory for ’The Beast’ (4/9) over Dean Ambrose (13/8) in a No Holds Barred Street
Fight. Lesnar may have further clashes with the Wyatt Family in his future, but
a strong win over the ‘Lunatic Fringe’ fan favourite must ensure an imminent
title opportunity.
Elsewhere in early odds for the show, Paddy Power reckons Sasha Banks is in pole position to claim Charlotte’s Divas
title, with the current champ rated second favourite to win
the three-way match at 17/10. Becky Lynch is rated the
outsider to triumph at 7/2.
