On How she Decided to get into Fashion
I was very young at the time, I think about 13 or 14 years old,
having
an innocent conversation with family and I was asked the question ‘what
do you truly want to be when you grow up’ and I remember saying ‘a
fashion designer just like Dolce and Gabbana’. I really can’t say why I
decided on fashion, I just knew that that was what I wanted to do and it
stuck with me till today.I was very young at the time, I think about 13 or 14 years old,
The Journey to Bridal
When I started fashion, I had no intentions of doing bridal or couture but I found the ready-to-wear I was doing at the time a little bit redundant. My friend asked me to make her wedding dress in 2013 and after studying as hard as I could and pulling it off, I found it way more fulfilling. I decided to create my first bridal and couture collection in 2014 and re-branded the company.

What makes Hollerose Designs Unique
We focus on three aspects of production; the design, fit of the garment and the quality of the fabrics and embellishments used; these elements I believe are what makes the product unique. We keep the design interesting and different, we don’t compromise on the quality of the materials we use and we continually push ourselves to learn more efficient ways to ensure the fit of the garment is excellent on the customer.

Inspiration for 2016 Collection
I was very inspired by Paris. I like shiny things and immediately thought of Paris which is often referred to as the city of lights; this is represented in the use of a lot of metallic looking embellishment and embroidery on the garments. The silhouettes where inspired by the architecture of the French capital, buildings in Paris always have some sort of curvature; from the Eiffel tower to the Notre dame, if the main structure itself is not curvy, then the windows or some feature in the building would exhibit curves, this I find sexy and that’s why we had a lot more figure hugging silhouettes in the collection such as Fishtail, drop-waist flares or gathers etc.

The colours in the collection; Red, yellow, black, white, gold and
silver are typical colours you would see at night in Paris, from the
sky, to the well lit buildings, flowers on the walkway etc.
Paris is also known as one of the most romantic cities in the world.
This is represented in the bridal with all the feather details, romantic
and classic luxury French laces, Swarovski crystals, pearls etc… It was
a wonderful experience creating this collection, I thoroughly enjoyed
the process.
