Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I benefitted from scientific
help — and I’m thankful every time I look at my twin girls.
But it’s time these, um, mature celeb moms tell the world how they’re doing it.
Geena Davis had a daughter at 46, twins at 48. Halle Berry was 47, Kelly Preston, 48.
There’s not some magic stork flying above Cedars Sinai or a fertility
dust add-in in the juice at craft services. There’s a doctor, drugs,
often a donor and, crucially, money. Lots of it.
Until we start talking about it, infertility will remain a shame-inducing experience for many non-famous women.
What do you say, Janet? Wouldn’t it be nice to have an actual answer
next time some scribe asks, “What have you done for us lately?”
