FADAN -

The Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria was established in 1989. The organization is the only recognized professional body promoting, marketing, and developing the Nigerian Art and Fashion Culture. FADAN with chapters throughout Nigeria is at the forefront of Nigerian fashion, exhibitions and fashion shows both at home and abroad.

The association however is a non governmental body empowered by government to cater to all matters Arts and Fashion within the shores of Nigeria. The association has supported voluntary and charitable activities for the less privileged and senior citizens of our society.

FADAN objectives include promoting Nigeria's culture through fashion, enlighten, monitor, educate and raise awareness. Also to create massive fashion production hubs throughout the Federation. The production hubs will enable mass production of apparel made to international standards. This in turn will create huge job opportunities. To encourage formal education in fashion, institutions such as Yaba College of Technology and Kaduna Polytechnic are members of FADAN.
FADAN is also determined to create a healthy fashion industry that will see the seriousness of fashion and its resultant gains and opportunities. The association will continue to achieve these various aims and objectives through various organized programmers, workshops, exhibitions and runway shows.

MODELA COUTURE

The Nigerian based international, mufti award winning Modela Couture was established in 2004 on winning NFS Nigeria best designer of the year, 2004 on 1st attempt, this marks the beginning of unlimited creation, discovery of the fashion business, good things to come, grandeur with a lot of hard work and dedication. Today,Modela Couture has become a benchmark for a lot of upcoming couture fashion designers. The brand is Recognized / Renowned for producing top quality avant garde /couture /ceremonial outfits for international beauty queens, musical artists, musical videos, movie costumes, glam red carpets dresses, fabulous wedding apparels and costumes in general. With over 35awards, still counting, Modela couture has continuously produced themed annual collections since 2004, and the collections has been applauded as "out of these world collection” " Wearable art pieces...”

Asilekwu Onyeka Sylvester

Asilekwu Onyeka Sylvester is the Chief Executive Officer of SilverFashions, a contemporary fashion outfit located in Warri, the commercial capital of Delta state, Nigeria; where every creative imagination is made real on the fashion platform.
With experience spanning over 20 years in the fashion industry, Sylvester's work explores & establishes new connections between garments and bodies. In each of his collections, unexpected juxtapositions invest dynamic dualities; they tell intimate stories of hidden treasures and the material world colliding. The intelligent use of materials in his designs provides almost limitless possibilities for individual styling.

He is often driven by love of innovation but his designs balance between classic and modern. The powerful yet tranquil passion expressed in his designs translates into thought provoking presentations.

Also, being a multiple income chaser , his business acumen has played unequalled role in his being a forerunner in Fashion Merchandizing both in Newly established "Delta Fashion Designer and Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN) Delta State Chapter. He is currently the 1st ice President of FADAN, Delta State Chapter.

Elawe

Elawe is a Nigerian based fashion clothing brand, founded by Elohor Sigbenu, a graduate of the University of Benin, and attended Zaris Fashion and Stlye Academy Lagos. It is a feminine brand that specializes in Haute couture. The brand combines international affairs with African influence using African fabrics and traditional techniques, with an attention to detail and regal femininity. It incorporates elegance, class and style in its designs.

It caters for all women irrespective of age and class. The brand evolved in 2014 and amongst its achievements and awards, she emerged Da Viva Ambassador 2014 till date, Emerging designer RUNWAY FADAN 2015, and has since been an active member of the supportive FADAN(Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria).

Dozzy Couture

Dozzy Couture is the fashion label of Dozzy Nnamdi Obinwanne, a creative and talented fashion designer living in Lagos.A Graduate of Geology and Mining from the federal University of Technology Owerri.

Dozzy Nnamdi Obinwanne is a certified Fashion designer from International Association of Professions Career College Canada and the Assistant National Publicity Secretary of Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN). He also doubles as a Visual artist/creative designer at Tailoring Unit, Arts and Craft Department, National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) Lagos zone; a unit formed due to his creative work and designs.

Due to his roots as a true African, his exquisite pieces for men create the highlight of the true African while keeping the trend in place. Native pieces like Senator Attire, kaftans, casuals, Etibor-Niger Delta jumper and trousers; African styled patterns are definitive of the fashion line.

Dozzy Couture aims to encourage everyone to add a bit of African to their everyday outfits to express the African heritage and make dressing up all fun and experimental.

Dozzy Couture has had the opportunity to showcase its designs at several fashion shows both in Nigeria and internationally.
