Manchester City sign Spain star Nolito from Celta Vigo on four-year deal

Manchester City have completed the signing of Nolito from Celta Vigo.

The Spain international forward has signed a four-year deal after City triggered the £13.8m release clause in his contract with the La Liga club.

Nolito is the second signing made by new City boss Pep Guardiola after Ilkay Gundogan's £20m arrival from from Borussia Dortmund in June.

The 29-year-old played under Guardiola at Barcelona before leaving the Nou Camp for Benfica in 2011.

After two seasons in Portugal, he returned to his homeland with Celta Vigo and has been a big success over the past three years.

He netted 39 goals in 103 appearances for Celta and has become a key part of the Spain squad.

"I’ll try to bring as much as I possibly can," said Nolito.

"I’ll do everything that the manager asks of me, try my absolute best and do everything I can to try to repeat the form I’ve shown throughout my career at various clubs.
"It’s just about trying to play my normal game and let’s hope that I can help Manchester City to win games.

"I think that Pep Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world. He knows a lot about the game and he’s going to help me progress as a player and I’m sure he’ll get the best out of me.
