Actress Emilie De Ravin may play a fairytale princess but she says a
recent experience with American Airlines was out of a horror tale.
The "Once Upon a Time" star blasted the aviation company, accusing an
American Airlines employee of abusive "forceful" treatment as she
boarded a flight at Los Angeles International carrying her breast pump
on Thursday.
"Dear @AmericanAir I was grabbed forcefully, my carry on bag ripped out
of my hand @lax this morning... by @AmericanAir female employee
Autonette," she tweeted.
"Please kindly dismiss this woman from @americanair employment, "she added.
While the flight's pilot was "very kind and helpful & apologetic on
woman's behalf," it wasn't enough for the 34-year-old "Lost" alum.
"There is NO excuse 4 physical force being used on someone trying to
take her breast pump carry on NOT OK," the mom-of-one wrote, adding the
hashtag "accountability."
Still, the actress concluded on a positive note.
"Apart from this incident and DISGUSTING woman, thank you for a smooth and safe flight @AmericanAir," she wrote.
Meanwhile, the airline company tweeted at De Ravin, asking for more details on the troubling incident.
"This is very concerning to us, Emilie. Please follow us with more
details so we can take a closer look," the company tweeted at the
actress, who has yet to publically respond.
The brunette beauty welcomed her first child, daughter Vera Audrey,
this March with boyfriend Eric Bilitch. Earlier this month, the pair
announced their engagement.
She is the latest celeb to slam airlines for unfair treatment against
mothers with babies. "Neighbors" star Rose Bryne made headlines in May
when TSA officials confiscated her breast milk.
A year before that, "Charmed" star and breastfeeding advocate Alyssa
Milano shared a similar experience when officials at Heathrow Airport
confiscated 10 ounces of her pumped breast milk.
"They said they would let the pumped milk through if I had the baby
with me. Why would I need to pump if I had the baby with me?" she
tweeted.
