There is something fascinating about Patoranking and Vanessa Mdee. Their chemistry is quite strong and when they perform together, they set the roof on fire!
Catch Up on All the Exciting Highlights from Coke Studio 4! |
On Coke Studio Africa 4
episode 5, Patoranking and Vanessa got mouths wagging as they put up a
good show of intense passion while featuring on Kenyan’s big break
artiste, Dela’s song, ‘Ma Feelings’.
The song, a personal story that talks
about betrayal, had Vanessa play the role of Patoranking’s side chick,
who is also Dela’s best friend. To say the least, they rocked the song!
On episode 5, it was also a delight to watch two of Africa’s multitalented entertainers, Nigerian power vocalist, Waje and Ivorian sensation Serge Beynaud
serenade with a creative and unique style of each other cover songs,
‘Mma Mma’ and ‘Mawa Naya’ respectively. Interestingly, both felt their
respective cover was a better version of the original song.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s legendary singer 2baba and Uganda’s songstress, Rema Namakula
delivered a brilliant composition “On the Spot” with the help of the
studio audience who decided the tempo, beat, key and melody they wanted
to hear. The show came to a wrap with Waje and Serge delivering their
original ‘hit single’ “You and Me”, a powerful traditional-urban soul
song that is anticipated to rock the African continent.
