In line with the theme, “Made in Nigeria – A re-direction towards SME Advancement, Economic Growth and National Transformation”  organisers of the Made In Nigeria Conference & Exhibition
seeks to through this edition exemplify the imperative to commit to the
structural and fiscal changes required to strengthen the Nigerian
economy.

His Excellency, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is
expected to deliver a Keynote
which will focus on the key elements
required to diversify the economy and ensure that “Made in Nigeria” is
not just a mantra but the new economic frontier for a holistic national
strategy for growth and development.
This year’s edition will focus on
promoting Made In Nigeria as the new economic frontier as well as to
change our orientation in consumption patterns by promoting a buy
Nigerian Culture with highlights on the role the informal sector plays
towards self-sufficiency, job creation & employment, and an export
driven economy. The key thrust of The Made In Nigeria Conference &
Exhibition is to facilitate stakeholder discussions and agreements on
the practical issues, opportunities, policies and regulations needed for
Made In Nigeria to thrive and become a holistic national strategy for
growth and development. It will also seek to work out the strategies to
achieve self-sufficiency and value-addition capacities for several
products and services in the shortest possible time.
Speaking on #MadeInNigeria2016, Executive Director of The Made In Nigeria Project, Adedeji Alebiosu
says; ”The Made In Nigeria Conference & Exhibition 2016 will
pragmatically address Government’s role in the development and support
of Entrepreneurs, access to finance, taxation, ease of doing business,
and human capital development for small and medium scale enterprises. We
will also partner with public regulators and the organised private
sector to ensure that MSMEs in the country are bankable and viable
enough to access the Federal Governmen’t’s floated MSME funds as well as
private start-upcapital from key stakeholders. We would be entrenching
MSMEs as a central part of National policy and ensuring that SMEs who
are national assets are empowered by this initiative.”
