Model Charlotte McKinney dropped out of high school because she was bullied: 'Girls would call me a slut'

Model Charlotte McKinney didn't always have it easy.

The 23-year-old, who is starring in the upcoming "Baywatch" flick, revealed that she was bullied so terribly in high school that it contributed to her dropping out.

"Girls would yell at me and call me a slut. I would go to parties and get beer thrown on my head-there was so much bullying. It was just so awful," she said in an interview with Ocean Drive Magazine.

"And that's why now I kind of use my platform to promote anti-bullying. I try to use what I went through to be a voice for it, because it's still happening and getting even worse now with social media," the Orlando native continued.

McKinney said growing large breasts as a teen definitely made things awkward in school — she also had no female friends and only received attention from the male side.
However, the bullying and awkwardness was not the only reason she left high school at 17. McKinney also suffered from dyslexia and began failing.
"If I'd stayed in school, then I would still be in school now," she told the mag. "I am much more of a visual person and school was just never really my answer, and I knew that at a really young age."

McKinney moved to Miami after dropping out to pursue a career in modeling. She garnered national attention for starring in a Carl's Jr. ad during the 2015 Super Bowl.

She has also landed small roles in films and music videos.
