Barack and Michelle Obama resurfaced Tuesday on Twitter to issue
predictably adorable Valentine’s Day greetings, with the former FLOTUS
sharing a vacation snap of their sand-peppered feet.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life and favorite island mate, @BarackObama. #valentines,” she tweeted.https://twitter.com/MichelleObama
The 44th President also paid tribute, posting a White House photo of his
wife nuzzling him before a taping for the 2015 World Expo.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, @michelleobama! Almost 28 years with you, but it always feels new,” he wrote.
Tuesday marked Michelle Obama’s first dispatch since she announced Jan.
20 she’d be “taking a little break.” Her husband, too, has remained
scarce on social media since Inauguration Day.
The couple enjoyed a post-White House stint in Palm Springs, Calif., before heading on a Caribbean getaway
with Virgin Group founder Richard Branson. Enviable photos posted to
Branson’s blog showed a grinning Barack Obama learning how to kitesurf.
President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump did not engage in similar
Twitter PDA on Tuesday. Vice President Mike Pence, meanwhile, responded
online to a CSPAN host’s candid photo of himself buying flowers at Whole
Foods.
“Don’t ruin the surprise,” Pence tweeted. “Ready to share our 34th Valentine's Day with my valentine, Karen.”
