Less than a day after Ben Affleck’s shocking reveal that he had just completed rehab for alcohol addiction, the “Batman” star was back to his normal routine.
Affleck, 44, was spotted taking his kids — Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 — to school Wednesday along with wife Jennifer Garner, who recently reportedly called off their divorce.
“It is business as usual in the house. He picked the kids up from school yesterday, dropped them off today,” the actor’s friend told People. “As always the kids come first. They are fiercely protective of them.”
On Tuesday evening, Affleck announced on Facebook that he had completed treatment for alcoholism.
"I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step," he wrote.
"I'm lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery."
Garner, 44, separated from her husband in June 2015 amid rumors that Affleck had cheated with the family's nanny.
Earlier in the month, the “Alias” actress called off the divorce to “work things out with Ben,” according to People.
Throughout the separation, they’ve co-parented their three children, even living on the same property and going on vacations together.
