Why Taylor Swift has been hiding out for months

All that hiding is about to pay off.

Taylor Swift has rarely been out in public or posting to social media in recent months and sources tell Entertainment Tonight it's because she's busy working on a new album.

The "Bad Blood" singer has reportedly been holed up in Nashville where she's working on her next album since releasing "1989" in 2014, Entertainment Tonight reports.

The singer has rarely been seen since her pre-Super Bowl performance on Feb. 4 in Houston — but was spotted out in Nashville last week.

"She comes here to get away from the paparazzi," someone who spotted the star suggested to ET.

In September, Swift turned out to the Tommy Hilfiger fashion show at New York Fashion Week to support her pal Gigi Hadid.

Hadid also let slip that the songstress was busy in the studio.

"She's obviously such a great friend and you know, she is starting to go back to work in the studio again and really made time to be here for me and I am so grateful for that," the supermodel shared.

The "Shake it Off" singer told her crowd at the pre-Super Bowl show that they attended 100% of her concert dates that year, noting that she didn't have any additional shows scheduled for 2017.

Swift's sixth album could debut by the end of this year, the source told ET.
