'Bill Cosby says he will not testify in upcoming sexual assault trial' for the first time, breaking silent for more than two years.

Breaking his silence for the first time in more than two years since scores of women accused him of sexual assault, Bill Cosby said he doesn’t expect to testify at his upcoming trial — and that there are “more than two sides to every story.”

In a 30-minute interview with SiriusXM’s Michael Smerconish
, which aired Tuesday, Cosby merely scraped the surface of the sexual misconduct allegations he is facing.
“I just don’t want to sit there and have to figure out what I believe is the truthful answer or whether or not I’m opening a can of something,” he said when asked if he’d take the stand at his upcoming trial.
“More than two sides to every story,” he added.

The 79-year-old actor stands accused by more than 50 women of sexual abuse and harassment allegations — spanning more than four decades — after allegedly giving them alcohol or pills.
“The piling on, so to speak, is a way — and certainly an impressive, impressive way — to get public opinion to come to the other side,” Cosby said.
Thiry-five of Cosby’s accusers — including model Janice Dickinson — appeared on the cover of New York magazine in July 2015 to recount their stories.
When Smerconish asked if the women were “all lying,” Cosby shot back: “You know better than that” — adding that he didn’t want to answer in order not to open himself up to potential defamation suits.

Cosby said he does not plan to testify on his own behalf at trial, slated to start June 5, for the alleged 2004 sexual assault of a then-Temple University basketball team manager, Andrea Constand.

The besmirched comedy star is charged with drugging and molesting Constand inside his Elkins Park, Pa., mansion.
Cosby has pleaded not guilty.
“If a jury says so forth and so on, there’s still public opinion,” Cosby said.
“I know the side that I’m on, and the side that I’m hoping for, and after that there’s more work to be done.”

Cosby also said his wife, Camille, has been unwavering in her support of his innocence.
As a condition Cosby set in agreeing to the interview, Smerconish also broadcast statements from his daughters, Ensa and Erinn.
Ensa Cosby, in an interview released Monday, said she believes “racism has played a role” in the accusations against her dad.
Asked about it in the interview that aired Tuesday, the disgraced celeb said: “It could be.”
“I can’t say anything, but there are certain things that I look at and I apply to the situation, and . . . there are so many tentacles, so many different — nefarious is a great word,” he added.
