The rapper — whose real name is Torrence Hatch — discovered someone had
been draining his bank account of thousands of dollars and a police
report revealed it was at the hands of his own brother, TMZ reports.
The "Betrayed" rapper's account was victim to more than a dozen wire
transfers to various people — with one as high as $80,000 in one shot, according to the gossip site.
Taquari Hatch, Boosie's bro, is reportedly the culprit and had even
posed as the music artist on the phone with Capital One — but blew his
own cover when he mentioned having a wife. Boosie is unmarried.
Taquari was arrested and charged with identity theft and fraud last week, according to the gossip site.
Boosie, 34, is now known as Boosie Badazz, but previously went by Lil Boosie.
He's a Baton Rouge, La., rapper who previously served time in the
Louisiana State Penitentiary from 2009 to 2014 on drug charges. Some of
his hits include "Wipe Me Down," "Better Believe It" and "Set it Off"
among others.
