The African Investors’ Conference and the Africa Global Business Forum, Dubai 2017

African corporates and international investors will gather for a one day Africa Investors’ Conference (AIC), which is being hosted by The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited (DIFC Branch), in partnership with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry annual Africa Global Business Forum in November.  



The world-class investors’ conference, will focus on investment in Africa, with discussions focused on a range of topics, with a view to finding key opportunities for growth on the continent.   
The event, is designed to connect international investors to some of Africa’s most successful companies, sharing plans and ideas. With attendees from numerous African countries including Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania, the conference format consists of one-on-one and small group business meetings that allow attendees to network and discuss investment opportunities in Africa.   

“The policy, infrastructure and opportunity landscape across Sub-Saharan Africa presents powerful growth and investment opportunities, and we have seen a significant and consistent increase in the number of Middle Eastern clients looking to break into the region,” says Rassem Zok, Chief Executive for The Standard Bank of South Africa (DIFC Branch).  “Standard Bank will continue to link international capital to African opportunity through its well-established presence in Dubai’s highly networked and globally connected capital and innovation hub.”   

A number of institutional investors will be attending the conference, alongside corporates from a broad range of sectors, including financial services, industrials, consumer, telecoms and media, oil and gas, and power and infrastructure.
