Marriage is a huge step in life and could be one of the riskiest one
since you have no idea what the future holds. It is like getting into
something with your eyes wide shut no knowing exactly what is right and
what is not!
1. Talking to his parents and friends
He needs to know if the
path he is about to take is the right one or not so consulting would be
the first thing that everyone does in situations like that. He will
talk to his married friends to know every aspects of their lives and how
it is for them to be in a committed relationship. He also will be
talking to the single ones to make sure that the life he is going to
miss is not something that is worth postponing this for. He will talk to
his parents to make sure that he is doing the right thing and if the
timing is fine or not. He needs to check all the aspects.

For sure, his friends
and family are not the only people that he will be talking to, there is a
lot more for him to investigate. He needs to talk to your friend and
your family because he needs to have their approval as well, right?!
Plus he needs to have an idea of whether from your friends and family
perspective it is the right time for you or not. Whether they are going
to get the YES from you or not. What kind of ring you may want to wear
so he would not make the wrong choice! Everything needs to be perfect
for that perfect moment!
3. What he wants to say
He has an idea of how he is going to
propose to you or better said, he has so many ideas! There are many
scenarios he has been working on, trying to remember how you reacted to
different proposals in the past and which one was your favourite one.
Whether he is going to do it in front of all people in public or a
gathering of the people that you only like. Whether it is going to be a
private event only the two of you. Maybe leaving it on the pillow or
just kneeling down right in front of you in your favorite spot in the
city!
4. Plan
Now that he has decided which option is the right one
for you, he will plan it! Depending on how much work the whole thing
will take, he is going to plan every single part of it from the scratch.
Maybe creating a list of pros and cons, putting all the options that
might work out and in case that does not, there would be an alternative.
Everything needs to be planned in a way that will make your heart melt
and make you believe that by saying YES you will be making the best
decision of your life.
5. Rehearse
This would be one of the most adorable stages of
the process. Have you seen how men try to get ready for that big moment
in movies?! How they are all so jittery and nervous?! The same thing
would probably happen in his case. He wants to say the right thing, make
the right move so that it will all be perfect as you have always
imagined it to be. You might even find him sitting in front of the
mirror and asking himself to marry him! How crazy does that sound?! But
he is doing that all because of you.
6. Pay attention
From now on, he will be focused completely
on whatever you say. Every single world that is being articulated can be
a small hint of what you will like and what you may not! Whenever you
pass by a jewelry store, he stays right there with you to see which one
you would like to have. He might even play something wedding related on
purpose to see what you have to say about it. What are your likes and
dislikes. Any little hints that can make things more accurate.
7. Buy the ring
And of course, once he has an idea of what
you like, he will go to buy it. Probably right after you are at work or
somewhere else but with him, he will sneak out and try to get the best
option and the best size for your finger. Everything needs to fit
perfectly. It all needs to look like the dream to you and something that
you can write home about. What he needs is for you to tell the story to
your mutual friends or even possible your future kids with a puffed
chest. One of a kind.
8. Find a hiding place
This can be the toughest thing if you
guys are living together since we, women, generally love to clean and go
through stuff because everything needs to be under our control! He
needs to find a place that he is sure you will never think of checking.
Maybe give it to a friend so he can keep it for him or to have it in his
pocket with himself all the time. That hiding process is more difficult
than what you may think! He needs to predict your next move to be able
to succeed! Good luck with that.
9. Make a backup plan
There is always a need of a plan B when
you are carrying out one of the most important and sensitive projects
of a lifetime and this one is of vital importance so many even a plan C
can help to get the control of things easier?! What if you break up with
him. What if you say NO! These are few of the nightmares they are going
to live with and it will be with them until it is all water under the
bridge!
