It’s a common tradition that at the beginning of every new year, we
make resolutions that we intend to stick to but never do. Yet, we go
ahead to make more resolutions the next year. Don’t you think 2018
deserves better? It’s high time for a change in things you need to
change in the coming year.
First things first, the word ‘resolution’ has been overrated, making
it January’s second most used word after ‘Happy new Year.’
The truth is
we really don’t resolve our challenges by calling them resolutions or by
just talking about them. By working on your intentions, you make your
resolutions more personal and easier to resolve. That said, what you
need in 2018, is not another list of resolutions but intentions on what
you need to improve in your life. What are your intentions for the new
year?
For us, we intend to write more interesting articles and stories that
will help your everyday life as well as make you fall in love with
635blog.
It’s that simple. Your intentions should be clear, straight forward
and achievable. You need to summarise them in one sentence before
breaking it down into different categories and a further breakdown on
how to achieve them.
Deciding your destination before embarking on a trip is one sure way that you will arrive at the planned destination without missing your way. Therefore, you need to know your intentions for the new year and make it known.
Meanwhile, the year ahead is a long one with 365 days and having just
one intention isn’t good enough. You should have at least one major
plan for each month, and a clear means on how to achieve them.
From improving your family ties, to your career goals, finances,
health, relationship, and your spiritual life, your intentions should be
as as easy as ABC:
Achievable
Believable
Concrete
Achievable
Believable
Concrete
You know the habits you need to change and the ones you intend to add
to your cart. Have at the back of your mind that you have a higher
chance of working on the things you intend to improve on than the ones you call resolutions:
