In what could be described as direct move to counter the position of former president Olusegun Obasanjo on President Muhammadu Buhari's re-election bid, the Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, was sighted today wearing a branded re-election campaign cap of the President and his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo during the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
The blue cap has the logo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a direct message: “Continuity ’19: Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbajo.”
Recalled, Obasanjo yesterday berated Buhari for performing below expectations and told him not to seek re-election next year.
As reported here last Saturday, the minister inaugurated the South-west Zonal Office of Buhari/Osinbajo Support Group in Ibadan, Oyo State to prosecute the President's re-election bid.
