Moving onto the second day at Africa Fashion Week London 2018.
Designers from Holland, Namibia, Nigeria, Morocco, Somalia, Nigeria, Zambia, Ghana all vying for Best Collection recognition.
AFWL vetran designers VanElse, Soboye and Mary
Martin London showcase new collections and a new design collective,
Fresh & Different from Somalia is eager to show the country's
textile heritage in a first for them and for AFWL.

DE VELASCO is the first Moroccan designer on the AFWL catwalk. See her designs at 1pm Saturday 11 August.

Zimbabwean born designer Preline Martha is the designer behind the PRELIM Label.
Prelim was lauched in 2013 and one of the proudest highlights was
supermodel Nykhor Paul wearing a Prelim jacket on the cover of New
African Woman Magazine.

APHIA SAKYI started in Ghana , with no
training and little idea in jewellery making. Since then she has wowed
us with her innovative designs and stunning photoshoots.
|
|
|
Nigerian BECCA APPAREL
is storming ahead of the game with her modern sillouettes and
to-die-for collection See her designs on the catwalk at 3.30pm and
visit her stall in the Exhibition Hall.

ABBY LEWIS,
originally from New York, is a Tanzania-based designer focusing on
pieces that bridge the gap between minimalist city style and effortless
silhouettes ideal for tropical weather. All of her pieces are made with
her own original fabric designs, handwoven out of 100% Tanzanian cotton.
|
|
Hailing from Uganda, BEAU SAPEUR designs
are beautiful, unique pieces from hand-made and printed fabrics in
Uganda. They are joining the movement to challenge people to dress in
brighter colours and bolder prints! Their subtle, clean, sharp designs
let the fabric do all the talking whilst retaining the feel of being
classic with a twist.

The
classic Freemasons' Hall will be the backdrop of Africa Fashion Week
London 2017. Built between 1927 and 1933, it is an homage to the Art
Deco era.
Freemason's Hall is already venue to LFW's off schedule shows, Fashion
Scout; but set against the ornate interior, AFWL will be at home inside
the the stunning style of the Grand Temple space, the Vestibules and
Foyers.
Expect to see Designer Exhibitions offering 'straight off the catwalk' bargains, jewellery, accessories and footwear.
