Lagos Comes Wide Awake for the Lagos International Poetry Festival
The
4th edition of the Lagos International Poetry Festival kicks off on the
31st of October 2018 with an opening cocktail by
7pm at Freedom Park,
Lagos Island, and we are super excited!
Each year the festival
draws some of the biggest poets and performers to the city for four
exciting days of conversations, performances, workshops and parties.
This year’s festival brings over 35 exciting poets, writers and artists
from 15 countries across the world including Kwame
Dawes, 2018 Forward Prize winner, Danez Smith, South African poet and
activist Lebo Mashile, and a special guest appearance by Niyi Osundare.

Poetry After Dark
Date: Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 Time: 9pm
Venue: hFactor, 26, Moloney Street, Lagos Island.
Workshops and panel discussions will also be happening all through the festival at Freedom Park from the 31st to the 4th.
