It was Arnold Toynbee who opined that, "apathy can only be overcome by enthusiasm, and enthusiasm can only be aroused by two things; first, an ideal that takes the imagination by storm, second; a definite intelligible plan for carrying that ideal into practice".
It was this enthusiasm that compels
our reelected incoming Governor, His Excellency, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel to offer Himself to the services of Akwa Ibom State, having garnered more than 23 years of corporate and private sector experiences, married with 14 years in top management positions, working gross-functionally in a variety of challenging projects with privy exposures to different economic sectors, both within the context of Nigeria, Regional and Globally.
A man widely acclaimed to be a goal-getter, analytical, highly numerate, result-oriented with outstanding communication skills, an entrepreneur with a creative drive to succeed, a firm believer and devotee in the efficient use of resources to enhance quality service delivery, a natural leader with effective dynamic sense of values and outstanding work ethics who demonstrated his superior abilities to accomplish a task when he was appointed as the Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government.
During his years at the financial sector as the Executive Director of Zenith Bank and the Director of Africa Finance Corporation, he nurtured and developed an extensive network of influential, social and business contacts that was to help Him build an industrialized and Sound Economic State that we were all dreaming for.
Having noticed his sparkling assimilations and enduring milieu to manage human resources, he then perceived the need to pontificate his economic experiences with the political interest of the common man, as well as deploying his technicalities to bridge the lacuna of rural-urban dichotomy of his people.
Sir, having passed you through the litmus test proof of economic and corporate governance, please permit us to attest that your recent victory at the polls was not only the Change we were all seeking as a people, but rather, it was only the Chance for us to join our hands together and create the Change through summoning a New spirit of State Patriotism of Service and Responsibilities, whether we rise or fall as a State or as one people.
Your disposition in the saddle of leadership has In truism taught new convert in politics and social governance that the key to victory is not the will to win, after all, everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is more important.
We use this medium therefore to appeal to the Opposition Candidates that lost at the polls to once again prove to our critics and their affiliates our Might of Unity of Love as a State.
In view of this, and as the Pilot-in-Chief of Flight Akwa Ibom State, we will suggests that immediately after your inauguration tomorrow may 29, you look critically in appointing technocrats & people who has embodied Humility, Passion for Community Development, Democrats with a World View and Flair from an African Perspectives to manned the different Ministries, Agencies and other Commissions of government for effective, fast, and robust workforce.
Therefore, On behalf of Myself and Members of the Board of Trustees of Pan-African Centre for Social Policy Reformations, We wish you a successful and purpose driven administration as you assume that exalted office again on Wednesday, May 29 2019 for your Completion Agenda.
