"The Graduate Code" by Dr. Akanimo Odon

Something remarkable, unexpected and truly humbling happened on my recent book tour that I wish to share.

So, my new book - The Graduate Code (IG @thegraduatecode) was originally written for students, young graduates and young professionals.

But I had been training very senior lecturers (Deans and HoDs) of Ignatius Ajuru University Port Harcourt when I introduced The Graduate Code just in passing.

To my surprise, every single lecturer got up and bought a copy of the book. Some bought multiples. In my mind, it probably was not for them. I mean these are professors!!! So I thought!!

I watched in wonder until I asked a few of them why they bought the book. They replied 'if the book is to help students plan their careers and professionals enhance theirs, we would like to be equipped to support students too'

Now I didn't see that coming but then again I should not restrict my impact space. As such my Universities book tour strategy has changed! Staff and students get ready!!
