Buhari Sends 43 Ministerial Nominees to the Senate

President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday sent 43 ministerial nominees to the National Assembly for screening and confirmation.

In addition to 36 ministerial nominees, representing one per state, the President has also nominated one per geo-political zone and one other nominee, bringing the total to 43.
The names of the ministerial nominees
were read at the Senate plenary session on Tuesday by Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
The ministerial screening is expected to begin tomorrow.
The nominees include: Uchechukwu Ogah (Abia); Mohammed Bello (Adamawa); God’swill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom); Chris Ngige (Anambra); Sharon Ikeazu (Anambra); Adamu Adamu (Bauchi); Mariam Kategu (Bauchi); Timipre Sylvia (Bayelsa); George Akume (Benue); Mustapha Shehuri (Borno); Goddi Agba (Cross River); Festus Keyamo (Delta); Ogbonnaya Onu (Ebonyi); Osagie Ehanire (Edo); and Clement Agba (Edo).
Others are: Adeniyi Adebayo (Ekiti); Geoffrey Onyema (Enugu); Isa Patami (Gombe); Emeka Nwajiuba (Imo); Sulieman Adamu (Jigawa); Zainab Ahmed (Kaduna); Mohammed Mahmud (Kaduna); Sabo Nanono (Kano); Bashir Sani (Kano); Hadi Serika (Katsina); Abubakar Malami (Kebbi); Ramatu Tijani (Kogi); Lai Mohammed (Kwara); Gbemisola Saraki (Kwara); and Babatunde Fashola (Lagos).
Other nominees are: Adeleke Mamora (Lagos); Mohammed Abdullahi (Nasarawa); Zubairu Dada (Niger); Olamilekun Adegbite (Ogun); Tayo Alaosuadura (Ondo); Rauf Aregbesola (Osun); Sunday Dare (Oyo); Pauline Talin (Plateau); Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers); Mohammed Dangidi (Sokoto); Sale Mamman (Taraba); Abubakar Aliyu (Yobe); and Sadiya Farouk (Zamfara).
