For effective operations and better efficiency in his business empire, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has announced a new name called Priam Group.
The former vice president, in a statement by his
Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, said under the new arrangement, many of the business concerns wholly connected to Atiku would come under one brand and one common management.
He explained that Priam Group would take over assets and liabilities of the existing companies, including staff emoluments and other welfare.
Atiku is an industrialist and founder of a number of businesses spanning several sectors of the economy including manufacturing, media, banking, logistics, agriculture, printing, education, eateries, beverages, real estate and animal food processing. He is also a principal shareholder in many more companies both within and outside of Nigeria.
Atiku said the process of restructuring would bring operational efficiency control and effective corporate governance to the group and would also allow the business empire to focus on future growth opportunities.
