Air Peace has expanded its fleet with the addition of its first factory-new Embraer E175, marking another milestone in the Nigerian airline's fleet modernization and regional expansion strategy. The aircraft was officially delivered by Embraer in Brazil and arrived in Lagos in early July 2026.
Key Highlights- Aircraft: Embraer E175
- Capacity: 88 passengers in a comfortable 2-2 seating
configuration, eliminating middle seats.
- Primary Role: Domestic and regional operations across Nigeria, West
Africa, and Central Africa.
- Benefits:
- Improved fuel efficiency and
lower operating costs.
- Reduced carbon emissions and
quieter operations.
- Greater flexibility to serve
lower-demand routes with increased flight frequencies.
- Enhanced passenger comfort
with spacious cabins, larger windows, generous legroom, and larger
overhead bins.
According
to Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, the arrival of the
E175 represents a significant step in strengthening the airline's leadership in
West and Central Africa by improving operational flexibility and expanding
market reach while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
The
new E175 complements Air Peace's existing Embraer fleet, which already includes
the E195-E2 and ERJ145 aircraft. Industry analysts expect the
addition to enable the airline to increase frequencies on key domestic routes
and launch services to additional destinations across Africa.
This
latest acquisition reinforces Air Peace's long-term strategy of operating a
modern, fuel-efficient fleet while improving regional connectivity and
supporting the continued growth of Nigeria's aviation sector.
