Neil Patrick Harris steals show with tight-whities 'Birdman' spoof- Oscars 2015 Host

Neil Patrick Harris stole the show in his tighty-whities.
The 41-year-old first-time Oscar host sparked roaring laughter throughout Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre as he paid hilarious tribute to Best Picture nominee and eventual winner "Birdman" during Sunday's 87th annual Academy Awards.

Harris spoofed a scene from the film in which Michael Keaton runs through Times Square in nothing but his skivvies after getting locked out of a New York City theater prior to a scene that required him to don nothing more than his briefs.

Harris looked plenty buff for the wild moment, introducing presenters Miles Teller and Margot Robbie wearing just his briefs and a smile.

Teller also gave a nod to his "Whiplash" character by playing the drums while the nearly naked Harris made his way to the stage.

 It was a classy event held recently in the United States of America (USA). It was the premiere of a new movie by Elizabeth Daniels titled ‘Folly’.

Stars like Uche Jombo, Yvonne Nelson, Alex Ekubo, Belinda Effah, Ruth Kadiri, Uchenna Nnnana and others were present at the occasion.  

At the premiere, the movie stars shone and dazzled with their ‘killing’ attires. It was also gathered that after the premiere, some of the guests embarked on a boat cruise, which we learnt was fun.

‘Folly’ stars Joke Silva and Benjamin Joseph, who could not make the premiere.

‘Port Harcourt Carniriv 2014 will Be the Best’- Dr. Sam Dede

The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Rivers State Tourism Development Agency, Dr. Sam Dede, has said the 2014 edition of Carniriv, the Port Harcourt Carnival is set to go down in history as the most colourful and memorable carnival event ever witnessed on the African continent in recent times.

Dede, an award winning actor and lecturer, gave the hint at a media interactive forum held in Port Harcourt to announce the 2014 edition of the carnival which is scheduled to hold from December 14 to 20 in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

 

According to him, an estimated number of over 5,000 participants made up of residents, tourists, fun lovers and representatives of corporate bodies will converge in Port Harcourt during the one week period of the carnival with estimated daily business exchanges running into several millions. He also revealed that the carnival is repackaged to deliver value and cement Port Harcourt’s reputation as a foremost tourist city in Africa.

“Because of the traditional high influx of carnival lovers to our city during our annual showpiece event, we have put in place adequate security measures to ensure the protection of lives and property during the entire duration of the carnival. We are also working with other stakeholders in the health and other key sectors to ensure that we create a conducive environment for our visitors,” he said.

 Friday, October 3, 2014 will for a long time remain in the memory of many fun seekers in Lagos as it was a day the roof of the Eko Hotel and Suites Convention Centre was practically brought down.
