Beyonce Poses sans Bra in show-stopping photo shoot for CR Fashion Book

Surprise, it’s Beyoncé — the superstar behind the mask on the cover of September’s CR Fashion Book.Beyonce goes from singing about surfboards to posing in front of them.

Beyonce is said to be one of Carine Roitfeld’s main inspirations for CR Fashion Book since the two first met at the Met Gala.Beyonce was shot by photographer Pierre Debusschere.Issue No. 5 of the magazine produced by Carine Roitfeld, former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, hits newsstands Sept. 4 — the same day as Queen Bey’s 33rd birthday.

In addition to donning the latest flashy fashions, Beyoncé — fresh off her showstopping performance on MTV’s Video Music Awards — also straps on a Chanel surfboard and crushes pomegranates just for fun.

Written in her own words and remixed by Pulitzer Prize Poet Forest Gander, Beyoncé expresses herself in an original prose for the magazine:

“You call me a singer, but I’m called to transform, to suck up the grief, anxiety, and loss of those who hear me into my song’s form.
It’s my daughter, she’s my biggest muse. There’s someone we all find out soon, more important than ourselves to lose.

Utopias, they don’t much interest me. I always mess things up a bit. Its chaos, in part, that helps us see.”

Roitfeld put the pop princess on the cover as a birthday gift. To find out what Bey gave in return . . . you’ll have to buy the issue.

Omawumi on Swagger Step: Live Band Gives Originality

Former West African Idol contestant and ‘Botom Belle’ crooner, Omawumi Megbele better known by her stage name as ‘Omawumi, has blamed the loss of live performance due to the advent of musical software.

The artiste stated that though it cost a lot to do a live performance, but feels it is the ideal way of convincing your audience that you are original and you what you are doing.

Click for Full Image SizeAccording to her, “A regular album is mainly produced in a studio. If you understand the mechanics of working in a studio, you’ll know that most of the sounds you hear are softwares already installed on a computer and producers can use these computer-generated sounds to make music.”

But what I am trying to do with a live album is trying to tow the line of people like Femi Kuti, Asha, Angeli Kidjoe, Yosou Ndour who make live albums. When you hear the sounds, you know they are real music instruments, though it costs a lot of money, but its real music and it’s worth it.
