Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders agree on Flint water crisis, but spar on other issues at Democratic debate

The Democrats clashed over Wall Street, foreign policy and campaign finance Sunday night, but provided a united front on the issue closest to the hearts of the residents of Flint, Mich.

Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton faced off for the seventh Democratic debate in Flint, a former factory town where lead-tainted water has had residents suffering for nearly two years.

 

“There’s a lot of blame to go around, and one of the points that I have made is I believe the governor of this state should understand that his dereliction of duty was irresponsible,” Sanders said during his opening statements. “He should resign.”

US Oil Price Tumbles to Below $33

Brent crude fell 4.7% while US West Texas Intermediate was down 3.9%.

 

For US oil, that was its lowest point since touching $32.40 in December 2008 during the global financial crisis.

But the price of Brent crude was seen falling to fresh 11-year lows. The last time Brent was so low was April 2004.

The war on drugs may seem like a lost battle to some, but one anti-drug campaign is still encouraging children to join the fight nearly 30 years later.

And National Red Ribbon Week — which blossomed after the cold-blooded murder of a DEA agent in 1985 — is influencing up to 80 million people in the United States each year.

The campaign, sponsored by the National Family Partnership, includes activities and events in schools across the country until next Friday to help children learn about all the negative effects of recreational drug use.
