As
controversies continue to trail the Federal Government’s appointment of new
vice chancellors for 13 universities, including the National Open University of
Nigeria, NOUN, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Otuoke, Professor Bolaji
Aluko, has said that he was not sacked and that his tenure will expire today.
In a statement, yesterday, Professor Aluko
said that from the day he was appointed as vice chancellor of the university,
he knew his that tenure will terminate today, February 15, 2016 and that he has
cleared his desk in readiness for his successor. Besides, he disclosed that he
and eight other Vice chancellors affected by the current appointments were
appointed the same day with their tenure expected to terminate today.
