But, just as he promised, the Delta State-born doyen of Nigerian comedy is still determined to give his fans and admirers something to remember him for. Life & Beat observed that expectations are quite high, especially on the part of seasoned laughaholics who have stuck with the comedian since the beginning of his career.

Also the content of the valedictory event, which was scheduled to hold between June 12 and June 13, 2009 at the Oceanview Restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos, has been expanded a little to accommodate additional appearances by both established and upcoming comedians.
Ali Baba clearly looks forward to the event with as much glee as his fans who expect him to put up an astounding valedictory performance that will, in a way, signify the end of an era and the beginning of a new one in the comedy industry.

Already, somebody has christened the forthcoming event, ‘mother of all shows‘ because of the rare line-up of heavyweights in the stand-up comedy scene. The list of artistes billed to perform alongside Ali Baba include Julius Agwu, Okey Bakassi, Basket Mouth, Gbenga Adeyinka I, Yibo Koko, as well as Kokomaster D‘Banj and 2009 Hip hop Awards multiple winner, 9ice.
