25th State Anniversary: AKHA Gears Up

 Do you know that my, State Akwa Ibom is 25 years old? Here and in my next photos is the picture of the anniversary cake that was made just today to be presented to the state government to commemorate the 25th anniversary of our dear state.

Incase you don't know, Akwa Ibom is an oil-rich state in the ever peaceful southern part of Nigeria. It is a coastal state that borders with the Atlantic ocean and located in the tropical rain forests and the mangrove swamps of Nigeria.
Akwa Ibom State was created on 23rd September 1987 from the old Cross River State by the former Military President Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

The Speaker and members of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, have mapped out strategies to partake effectively in the celebrations.

The Speaker, Elder Samuel Ikon yesterday during plenary set up an Adhoc Committee to arrange on how the Assembly would partake in the event.

The chairman of the Adhoc Committee is Elder Emmanuel Akpan while Barr. Onofiok Luke, Dr. (Mrs.) Ekaette Okon, Mr. Godwin Charlie, Mr. Kufre Etuk, Obong Paul Owo and Mr. Aboh Uduyok are members.
