The former Barcelona chief is desperate to manage in England after his year’s
break from football — and fulfil an ambition.
Guardiola said: “As a player, I couldn’t realise my dream to play there.
“But I hope, in the future, I have a challenge to be a coach or a manager
there and feel the experience of all the coaches and players that have been
there.
“It is unique, to play in that league. I want to feel the supporters, the
environment, the media and the style of the players and everything.”
SunSport revealed on Sunday that Guardiola, 41, wants to boss Manchester City
this summer, which will disappoint Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich
and AC Milan.
The Spaniard made his pitch to manage in England in a video message to mark
the FA’s 150th birthday celebrations which start in London today.
He could be joined by his former La Liga rival Jose Mourinho, who also wants
to manage in the Premier League next season.
