WHILE LAUNCHING A BOOK DEPICTING LIFE OF FELA
Friends, family and fans of the AFROBEAT music
legend and revolutionary social crusader, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, gathered at the
Nigeria Institute of International Affairs, Lagos to recollect the memories of
the man and his more than ordinary life.
The event was a launch of a book named as
"Kalakuta Dairies" written by one of the boy at Fela's famous shrine,
Uwa Erhabor.
The book acts as a mirror to the lifestyle of the
master musician for posterity. Several books that have their content revolved
around the singer are in progress.

The book also talks about Fela's inimitable
lawyer in his many years of travails in the hands of Nigeria's military
authority. The other people that became the part of the book are Mr. Femi
Falana (SAN); rights campaigner, Mr. Yinka Odumakin and MD, Cowbell Plc and
author of Insider Outsider and Mr. Keith Richards.
Fela's wife Mrs. Bose Kuti and sons Kunle and
Seun are also part of the book. Gbadamosi stated that he believes himself to be
rich with fate to chair the event.
He was related to Fela as in a rivalry
relationship in different secondary schools, academic sojourn in London and as
a trio in a musical and revolutionary group with one Wale Bucknor.
