Granada to rival Arsenal for French defender?

Granada have joined Arsenal in the chase for Sochaux defender Sebastien Corchia.

Arsenal have been tracking the right-back, who has also attracted interest from Roma and Lyon, for the past year but Granada are now in the driving seat to lure him away from Sochaux.

The La Liga side have ramped up their interest in the last week and are keen to take the 22-year-old on loan with a view to a permanent move.

But reports in France claim Sochaux are cool on the idea of a loan switch - and that could open the door for Arsenal to firm up their interest with a concrete offer.

Arsene Wenger has identified Corchia as a possible long-term replacement for Bacary Sagna, whose future at the Emirates Stadium has been subject to speculation this year.
