Emma Watson could be next.
That's the threat being posed against the 24-year-old actress by a
pitiful hacker who's indicating Watson's stolen, private photos will soon be
posted on 4chan, the online message board that also hosted nude images of other
celebrity women, according to Business Insider.
It's unclear whether the Watson snapshots will be nude, but it's a
lucky guess they won't be pics of her walking in the park.
These cowardly threats follow her empowering speech about feminism, in
which she insisted the movement also includes men.
"I've seen young men suffering from mental illness unable to ask
for help for fear it would make them look less 'macho,'" the "Harry
Potter" star and UN Goodwill Ambassador said in the "HeForShe"
speech over the weekend that's since gone viral.
"Men don't have the benefits of equality either," she
continued. "We don't often talk about men being imprisoned by gender
stereotypes, but I can see that they are and that when they are free, things
will change for women as a natural consequence."
Unfortunately, the Brown University graduate's words came with
consequences from an online wimp, who set up a website, "Emma You Are Next,"
that features a countdown timer to the big reveal of Watson's personal photos.
"Never forget, the biggest to come thus far," the anonymous
online prowler wrote on the site
Other victims of this hateful crime are Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton,
Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Gabrielle Union.
Union and her husband, NBA star Dwyane Wade, issued a statement after
their private photos were exposed.
"For anyone out there also being affected by these and other
hacking and hate crimes -- We send out love, support and prayers. We have done
nothing wrong," their statement said.
"If men don't have to be aggressive in order to be accepted, women
won't feel compelled to be submissive," Watson said in her speech.
"If men don't have to control, women won't have to be controlled."
