After the families had been introduced to the Rhythm of Naija dance
style in the previous episode where they were taught 23 different dance styles,
dance instructors Sani, Malachi and Abdullahi set the tone for the performance
show with a highly captivating dance routine.
In the spirit of “Rhythm of Naija” Osas Ighodaro, the show host
welcomed the audience to another exciting and intriguing show of Maltina Dance
All Season 8. Her co-host, Lafup joined her on stage and revealed to Nigerians
the emotional state of the families backstage.
The Nwaeze family who were first on stage, performed to MC Galaxy’s hit
song Sekem. The Unanka family took things a step further with a dance
performance of Mavin’s popular Dorobucci song while the Williams family danced
to Awilo Logomba’s ‘Bundele. The first part of the show ended with the Odigie
family dancing to Timaya’s Ukwu.
The second half of the show saw Oladapo family rocking to Runtown’s,
Gallardo while Utere family, who was next on stage, performed to Skales Shake
bodi much to the admiration of the audience. The Uzodinma family stepped out
with Lil Kesh’s Shoki while Dide family capped the exciting night with a
performance to Wande Coal’s Baby Hello which earned them a standing ovation
from the audience.
Sadly the Oladapo and Nwaeze families were put up for possible
eviction. For the very first time in the history of the MDA, a mum, Mrs.
Uzodinma, was adjudged dancer of the night.
