Manchester United are set to make a £60million bid for Cristiano
Ronaldo as they kick on with their attempts to bring him back to Old Trafford.
United were given the shock news this week that Ronaldo could be
available, with his agent keen to move him out of Real Madrid in the January
transfer window.
And while Chelsea are also keen on him, the
Daily Star says United are in pole position are set to lodge a £60million
offer shortly.
The Red Devils want an agreement in place to sign the Portuguese superstar
before January and are boosted by the fact they have a clause which allows them

Madrid are privately insisting the player will be staying put, but his
agent Jorge Mendes is a powerful and respected figure in the game and has big
influence on the 29-year-old.
