Can Eagles Problem go Beyond Coaching —Sudan coach

HEAD coach of the Sudanese national football team, Mohammed Abdallah says the problem with the Super Eagles is beyond coaching.

Abdallah spoke with Tribunesport moments after the Nigeria-Sudan 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture penultimate Wednesday in Abuja.

Tribunesport had asked the coach for his opinion on Stephen Keshi after the match.
“Your problem in Nigeria is not that of coach. In Nigerian football, there are too many problems, you have a good coach, but your problems are too much beyond the coach. Nigerian football needs serious organisation, you have got good players and a good coach,” Abdallah said.

“You people need to sit down and look at the issue of organisation, too much politics, which is not good for the game,” the coach added.

Taking a look at the qualifying group A, Abdallah, also known as Mazda, believes the group is still open. “No, no, no, we [Sudan] are not out yet, we will fight till the end, this group is still open,” he said with a clenched fist.

The Falcons of Jediane are bottom of the group with just three points from four matches, while there are only two rounds of matches left.

On his team’ss 3-1 loss to the Nigerian side at the National Stadium, Abuja, he said the age-long fighting spirit synonymous with the Super Eagles gave them the victory. According to him, he had hoped to get at least a draw from the match.

“We met a strong Eagles today, that fighting spirit we used to know with the Eagles came to the fore, that’s what gave your boys this result this evening,” Abdallah said as he was being ushered away by a security officer.
