After giving the world blockbusters like Shaking Kingdom and Reality,
talented actor, Bobby Ogoloma, is currently working on another box office hit, My
City. The new flick is being shot in Port Harcourt and will have its
concluding scenes shot in London, Italy and France.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Ogoloma says My City borders
on true-life story of a group of youngsters who left their country illegally to
seek greener pastures abroad. However, he admitted that the film would make the
expected impact by encouraging the Nigerian youths who already have the urge
to travel abroad that they can as well make it here in Nigeria.
According to the producer, a whole lot of money has been sunk on the
production. “We have spent a whole lot of money and I can’t really give you a
specific figure either in naira or dollars. There are certain things I want to
see and experience in movies but these are things you can only do in your own
movie,” he stressed.
Ogoloma, who took out time to score the cast and crew of the action
packed film, said that the story was written based on real life experience.
“The film features top Nollywood actors and actresses like Yul Edochie, Ini
Edo, Olu Jacobs, Joseph Benjamin, Gentle Jack, Ernest Obi, Fedrick Leonard,
amongst others. Some of the production crew recently flew into the country as
well to be part of the new movie. Some of them are Roger Russell who will be in
charge of sounds, Luke Biggins, a top video director who was a crewmember of
popular film, Lord Of The Rings, Camille Liberto and Hoffman Akubeze
aka Don Chichi, coordinator of the project. The film will be directed by
Earnest Obi”.
