Kim Kardashian has scored another Vogue cover.
The reality star is featured in an all-white ensemble on the cover of Vogue Australia’s February
2015 issue, and this time, she is flying solo.
“Here's the 1st look of my February cover with Australian Vogue!!!!” she tweeted Saturday. The magazine hit newsstands Monday.
Kardashian and then husband-to-be Kanye West famously appeared on the
cover of American Vogue’s April 2014 issue.
The 34-year-old’s latest Vogue shoot is a far cry from her “break the
Internet” Paper magazine photos. She still shows off her kurves in a
dress from Balmain’s Spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, but she is sporting
a more natural look.
I truly am so honored to have
worked with one of style icons, fashion director @Centenera for this cover for
@VogueAustralia and shoot in one of my favorite places in the world, Australia!
Thank you Gilles Bensimon for these gorgeous pics! Can't wait to see the rest
out Monday!
For the Feb. 2015 cover, French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon
took Kardashian to the coast of New South Wales.
Kardashian recently cited Vogue Australia’s fashion director Christine
Centenera as her style icon.
“I like when someone’s really put together but looks effortless,” she said at the E! international press junket.
Kardashian’s first Vogue cover unsurprisingly proved controversial,
which lead to editor in chief Anna Wintour defending her decision.
I think if we just remain deeply tasteful and just put deeply tasteful
people on the cover, it would be a rather boring magazine,” she said at an event at the Metropolitan Museum in
November. “Nobody would talk about us. It's very important that people do talk
about us.”
Vogue Australia’s Edwina McCann explained in her editor's letter that
she picked the polarizing celebrity because of the world’s fascination with
her.
“I think Kim Kardashian is both overtly and covertly an extraordinary
marketer,” McCann wrote. “She has made a small fortune selling ‘brand Kim,’
which says more about all of us and the times and societies we are living in
than it does about her. She has turned living famously into a job. And that is
fascinating.
