Carlo Cudicini believes Arsenal should target Petr Cech if Chelsea allow the goalkeeper to leave in the
summer.
The Czech shot-stopper is likely to seek a move away from
Stamford Bridge at the end of the season having lost his starting
spot to Thibaut Courtois.
The Gunners have been tipped to launch a move for the
32-year-old, and Cudicini reckons his former team mate would be an ideal
signing for Arsene Wenger’s side.
Responding to Ray Parlour’s claim on the Alan Brazil Sports
Breakfast that Arsenal ‘"have to get" Cech if he is
available, Cudicini said: “I agree.
“Arsenal have had a few problems with goalkeepers after
[David] Seaman and [Jens] Lehmann. [Wojciech] Szczesny is still struggling to
impose himself as number one, so if a goalkeeper like Petr Cech is available in the summer, obviously he should be a
big target for Arsenal.
