Chris Ramsey set to be appointed permanent QPR boss after talks with Tony Fernandes

The ex-Brighton and Swindon defender was appointed until the end of the campaign following Harry Redknapp's departure earlier this year.

Owner Tony Fernandes is still to make his move on the long-term future of the club, but speculation is mounting in favour of former Tottenham coach Ramsey, who is very popular with the current squad of players.

He said: "We've had discussions, but nothing has been put in concrete.
"There is still the rest of the season to go and I am hoping I am going to be here and put pen to paper.

"The decision will be made at the end of the season and I am hoping it will be me, but we haven't put pen to paper yet."
